FiCAS Dynamic Crypto ETP

Access a wide selection of digital assets through a single regulated vehicle. BTCD is a crypto ETP driven by Bitcoin Dominance, designed to dynamically allocate between Bitcoin and a broad range of altcoins. A dedicated portfolio manager actively adjusts coin selection, weightings, and cash exposure based on market conditions and proprietary signals from the Bitcoin Dominance Index. The goal is to capture upside potential while managing downside risk.

OVERVIEW

Description

FiCAS Dynamic Crypto ETP invests flexibly across Bitcoin and a broad universe of altcoins. Available through any standard bank or brokerage account, it gives retail, professional and institutional investors the convenience of buying a share while providing direct, regulated access to the digital asset market.

The ETP, issued by Bitcoin Capital AG and actively managed by Swiss asset management boutique FiCAS AG, has the ability to hold a wide range of cryptocurrencies. Eligible assets are selected based on liquidity, custody and regulatory considerations. The portfolio manager continuously evaluates technical and fundamental indicators to decide which coins to own, how much of each to weight and when to shift partly or fully into Swiss francs, euros or US dollars. A proprietary Bitcoin Dominance Index framework informs the allocation between Bitcoin and altcoins, an approach designed to capture upside potential.

Trading takes place on the SIX Swiss Exchange under the ticker BTCD, with market makers ensuring daily liquidity and tight spreads. Net asset value, current holdings and the cash position are published every day, providing full transparency. Because the strategy employs no leverage and operates within a recognised Swiss regulatory framework, investors gain institutional grade exposure to digital assets with robust risk controls, straightforward execution and the familiarity of an exchange listed security.

What does Bitcoin Capital offer?

Bitcoin Capital issues exchange-traded products (ETPs) that hold cryptocurrencies and trade on the SIX Swiss Exchange. Investors can choose actively managed strategies, where a portfolio manager shifts between assets and cash under a clear rule set, or Single Asset ETPs that hold a single coin one-for-one. We also structure white-label ETPs for third parties.

Will my money be safe?

All crypto assets are stored with regulated, independently audited custodians that apply multi-signature wallets, strict address whitelisting, and institutional-grade security procedures. Since our launch in 2020, Bitcoin Capital has recorded zero security incidents and no asset losses.

What if I don’t know anything about crypto?

ETPs let you gain crypto exposure entirely through your existing bank or broker. No wallets, private keys or on-chain expertise required. You simply trade the ETP like a stock, while Bitcoin Capital handles custody, transfers and product operations behind the scenes.

How can I start investing?

Find the product’s ISIN or ticker on our website, enter it in your broker’s search bar, and place an order just as you would for an equity or ETF. If you prefer, call your bank’s trading desk and quote the ISIN. Monthly performance reports and full documentation are always available for complete transparency.

Which product is best for me?
  • Actively managed ETPs may suit investors who want diversified exposure and the flexibility to move into cash during downtrends, but they still carry high market risk.
  • Single Asset ETPs provide straightforward, one-asset exposure for those who believe in a specific cryptocurrency’s long-term outlook.

Your choice should reflect your risk tolerance, time horizon and market view, and we are more than happy to answer any additional questions at any time.
